BPS101 Families-
This week we welcomed students into RMS and BHS for registration and locker move-in events. It was so nice to hear their voices in our hallways again. We cannot wait to have them all back in our buildings for the first day of school. Please continue to check out the 2021-22 School Year page on our website for updated information.
A frequent question to our tech team this week has been Chromebook pick-up. Elementary students that need a new Chromebook to start the year will be given them on the first day of school, in their classrooms. RMS and BHS students would have received them at their registration events this week, but if not, the student can go to the Chrome Depot in their building for assistance.
Foodservice Info
To facilitate contactless payments and avoid lines, all elementary student meals should be ordered in advance through SchoolCafe by 7 a.m. on the day of service, Middle and High School students can walk up. There will be one breakfast and three lunch options available each day:
- All lunch items are scratch-made and include a main entree and two sides, and milk or juice.
- All breakfast meals consist of a whole grain, protein, and fruit with milk.
- All meals will be individually packaged, heat-sealed, and labeled with their contents.
To order a meal:
- Log into your SchoolCafe account.
- Under ‘Orders’, click ‘Place Order’.
- Choose the meal date, student, meal selection, etc.
- Orders may be placed up to one week in advance
- If you have more than one student, you’ll need to place orders for each child.
Note: you can pre-order up to a week in advance. This helpful video will walk you through the ordering process. You can also set low balance alerts, automatic payments, and purchase restrictions in SchoolCafe. As always, no one will be left hungry. Families who feel they qualify can fill out an application for free or reduced-price meals.
Attendance
We have eliminated the District Daily Screener for students this year, but we are asking anyone that is visiting a District building to stay home if they are not feeling well. Parents should report the absence of any student who is not able to attend school by calling their home school. Elementary teachers will take attendance daily, and middle school and high school teachers will take attendance each period. Automated phone calls will be made to parents if there is an unreported absence. For detailed info on attendance click HERE.
We hope you enjoy these last few days of summer and look forward to having the students back on August 18 (August 23rd for the Early Childhood Center).
