Work-Based Learning — Batavia High School

Connecting BHS students to real-world career experiences in our community.

Work-Based Learning at Batavia High School is about all things career development — connecting students to the real world of work and preparing them for life after graduation. Through partnerships with local and regional businesses, students explore 7 career clusters, build employability skills, and develop the professional networks that set them apart.

Business partners play a vital role at every level: as guest speakers, mentors, job shadow hosts, or through our capstone experience — Field Experience — an internship-like placement for students who have done the exploration and are truly committed to a career field. Students take ownership of securing their own placement, making every connection meaningful and earned.

BPS 101 is proud to build these community partnerships as part of our commitment to ensuring every BHS student is ready for their future career.
