Action: Batavia Youth Football Contract
Board Members approved a contract with Batavia Youth Football to support the establishment of an independent football program for seventh- and eighth-grade students. Full story >
Action: Commercial Mower Purchase
Board Members approved the purchase of a commercial mower and snow remover to take care of open spaces/fields through the intergovernmental agreement with the Batavia Park District.
Action: Replacement/Purchase of Video Surveillance Cameras
With an increasing reliance on the video surveillance system and an aging inventory of existing cameras, Board Members approved the purchase and installation of video cameras from Eagle Security, Fire and Life Safety, Inc.
Action: Surveillance Video Storage Array Purchase
Board Members approved a high-capacity surveillance video storage array to allow the District to add surveillance cameras as needed over the next several years to underserved areas as well as increase the length of time that footage can be archived.
Action: Insurance Renewal and Related Contracts
Board Members approved the insurance contracts and premiums recommended by the District Insurance Committee.
Action: New School Board Members and Officers
Newly elected school board member, Erin Meitzler, and re-elected incumbents Cathy Dremel and Chris Lowe, were sworn in at the special April 23 Board Meeting that immediately followed the regular Board Meeting. All three Board Members will serve a four-year term.
After the new Board was seated, Board Members appointed Cathy Dremel president, Jon Gaspar vice president, BPS101 Superintendent Dr. Lisa Hichens secretary, and BPS101 Chief Financial Officer Tony Inglese treasurer.
