Get to know newly elected BPS101 Board Member, Erin Meitzler
After reading Erin Meitzler’s background details and current civic involvement below, one has to wonder, is she actually bionic?
Family: Erin and her husband, Elliot, have five children at all levels at BPS101: A 15-year-old son at Batavia High School, 12-year-old daughter at Rotolo Middle School, 7-year-old twin daughters, and 5-year-old daughter at H.C. Storm Elementary School.
Occupation: Mrs. Meitzler is currently a stay-at-home parent and a former SPHR certified human resources manager for a Fortune 200 company focused on Chicagoland school districts.
Education: She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Communications Studies from Winona State University and earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on human resources from Madison University.
Civic Involvement: Mrs. Meitzler can be seen around Batavia and in meetings all day and evening! She is the current vice-chair of the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence; co-chair of the Batavia Interschool Council; vice president of Music Buffs, RMS liaison; active member of the BPS101 Hall of Honor committee and 100 Women Who Care Fox Valley; and current H.C. Storm PTO committee chair and volunteer. She was the H.C. Storm PTO president from 2016-2018 and on the PTO Executive Board from 2014-2018. She served on the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence District Innovation Grant Committee; was part of the Bulldogs Unleashed Auction Committee, and was a co-chair of 100 Kids Who Care Fox Valley as well as co-chair of the 2018 Batavia Oktoberfest Family Day.
Welcome to Mrs. Meitzler, and congrats to re-elected incumbents Cathy Dremel and Chris Lowe. All three will be seated at the April 23 BPS101 Board of Education meeting.
