Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and assignment of all employees of the District, with the approval of the Superintendent and the Board of Education.

Notice for paraprofessional positions: All paraprofessional candidates must hold an Illinois license- PEL, substitute teacher, or paraprofessional. The Kane County Regional Office of Education has updated the Paraprofessional License requirements. Non-qualified candidates can apply for a Short-Term Approval license that will allow them to work and be valid for three years. The requirement is now a high school diploma or its equivalent. Please be advised that the hiring process for day-to-day substitute teachers has been suspended until August 2025. We still encourage you to submit your application at this time. However, please do not anticipate a response until August 2025.

    • 1.0 FTE Paraprofessional – HWS $18.06/hour (License required)
    • 1.0 FTE Paraprofessional (DO) – HWS $19.56/hour (License required)
    • 4.0 FTE Paraprofessionals (ILP) – GMW  $19.56/hour (License required)
    • 1.0 FTE Paraprofessional – JBN $18.06/hour (License required)
    • .93 FTE Paraprofessional – ECC $18.06/hour (License required)
    • .38 FTE Campus Monitor – HCS (5 days/week) $16.82/hour 2 hours per day.  The Campus Monitor works from approximately 11:30 to 1:30 and primarily supervises the students while at lunch and recess.
    • .38 FTE Campus Monitor – JBN (5 days/week) $16.82/hour 2 hours per day.  The Campus Monitor works from approximately 11:30 to 1:30 and primarily supervises the students while at lunch and recess.

How to Become a Substitute Teacher

The District is seeking your help by becoming a Substitute Teacher. If you are not a licensed teacher or sub, we can help you through the process of becoming licensed. We have worked with the Kane County Regional Office of Education to develop this “How to” guide.
