2019 Hall of Honor
Committee Report: Jon Gaspar shared with the Board of Education and the public that the Hall of Honor event will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre. Information on the 2019 Hall of Honor inductees and details on the event can be found here on the BPS101 website. Registration is now open.
New Hire
Ming Shelby was officially approved as the New Director of Curriculum.
Class of 2019 Report

- Dual Credit- Great way for students to get a jump on college courses, while in high school. More students are taking advantage of this opportunity every year. For more info on the program, check out this news story from last year about it.
- Seal of Biliteracy-27 seniors graduated last year with a state seal of biliteracy, Proficiency in English and a second foreign language. Here is a story about their successes.
2020 Tentative Budget
The 2020 tentative budget is now on public display. This tentative budget projects a $3m+ surplus. This is deceiving because we have a lot of moving parts at this time. Class size changes, personnel changes, and negotiations with the BEA still need to be rectified. The budget will be reviewed again in August, then approved in September. Board of Education Vacancy
Applications are still being accepted, through Tuesday, July 30. Interviews are scheduled for August 6th. Interviews are in closed session. Here is the link to the details.
Action: Approval of New Lunch Prices
BPS101 will be defending the 2018 Chili Cook Off title at the 2019 Chili Cook Off on July 27. Please come down and place your people’s choice award. Here are the details of the event.
