Message from the Superintendent
At the Board of Education Meeting last night, an item that was approved under my agenda was our strategic plan process. I believe that voice and input are critical when decisions are made. During my time here, I’ve had a chance to talk with many people in and outside our district. As a result, we will engage all district stakeholders to seek feedback based on the opportunities and challenges we face and might want to approach strategically. What I think is most exciting is that we will have students lead this process as our facilitators highlight the greatest strength of our district – our students! Look for additional updates and an invitation to participate in the conversation.
Homecoming Parade Tonight
It is a beautiful day for a parade! Groups kick off the parade from the Wilson Street side of Batavia High School at 5:00 PM today. The parade heads east and loops back to the Main Street side of BHS at Lincoln Street. Streets will be closed in the area starting at 4:40 PM.
Special Education Leadership Team Town Hall Meet-and-Greet (Reminder)
Immediately following the parade this evening, join Batavia Special-Education Parent Network (BSPN) from 6:00-7:30 PM at Pal Joey’s as we host Superintendent Tom Kim, Director of Student Services Kari Ruh, Director of Student Services Natalie Assell, and the special education leadership team for a Town Hall Meet-and-Greet. Meet other BPS101 parents and caregivers with special-education students ages Early Childhood to High School, learn what we have planned for the year, and please be sure to bring any questions, suggestions, and feedback you may have.
Paw Print Preschool at BHS (Reminder)
