Hello BPS101 Families-
This week we will be focusing again on some great upcoming events and happenings around the District.
You Belong Here
A theme that has spread throughout the District this year is “You Belong Here.” Lucy Lisberg, a class of 2022 Graphics student from BHS, created this graphic that you may see as the landing page on your student’s Chromebook. It is a beautiful visual representation of the theme. Our families and students from all of the different schools are a valued and important part of the larger BPS101 community.
BHS Courtyard Project
Have you heard the news? A great group of people has come together to create a beautiful and relaxing courtyard in the middle of BHS. It is near completion. Thank you to all who donated time and money to this project. Here’s a picture from yesterday.

BPS101 Strategic Planning
On November 11, BPS101 will be hosting the first of five meetings of their Strategic Planning Check In Committee. The purpose of this committee is to determine the strengths and weaknesses related to the Board’s current priorities. The committee will use feedback collected from thousands of students, parents, and staff to make decisions about strengths and opportunities for improvements. The committee’s report will be presented to the Board in February and will be used to determine the next steps for District improvement.
Getting Ready for the Holidays
This year, rather than the traditional Kaleidoscope Concert, the Batavia High School Music Department and the Batavia Fine Arts Centre are partnering together on a special project. They are excited to deliver a virtual performance, a Holiday Movie Special, for you to enjoy on December 17th and throughout the holiday break.
Additionally, the BHS Music Department will be performing a new “Winter Wonderland” concert on Wednesday, December 1st at 6:15 pm and potentially another performance at 8:00 pm in the Batavia Fine Arts Centre. If you would like a set of FREE tickets, please follow the link below and reserve them. Tickets are required to attend and are limited. If you can’t attend, the event will be live-streamed by BFAC On Air at the same link.
