The District Weekly for February 2, 2022

Hello BPS101 Families-
Last night the community Facilitating Team hosted the first Community Engagement Session for the Building Our Future Together Facility plan. Thank you to all of the community members that joined us. It was a great evening.
Change to Absence Reporting
Beginning tomorrow, February 3rd, we are streamlining student absence reporting and communications related to COVID-19 quarantine, isolation, and close contacts. Accordingly, if your student is absent with symptoms associated with COVID-19, we may send you an electronic questionnaire to assist us in determining when your student may safely return to school. Your prompt attention to this questionnaire, if received, is appreciated. Please note that any student who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms must stay home until test results are known and/ or they isolate at home for 5 days.
To reduce the workload of our school nurses, we ask that you first consult our COVID-19 webpage for guidance on when students must stay home and when they may return to school after exhibiting symptoms.
Reminder: The Course Selection Deadline is Friday
The PowerSchool portal for making course selections for the 2022-23 school year will be closing on Friday 2/4/22. If you have a student that will be attending RMS or BHS next year, please log in to the portal and make your selections before the deadline.
Thank you and wrap-up from CES #1
We would like to give a HUGE shout-out to the 60+ community members that attended our first Community Engagement Session last night. In addition, we would like to thank the community engagement facilitating team members, Board of Education members, and staff that devoted their time to the success of this event.
If you were unable to attend last night but would like to stay informed about the process, please visit https://www.bps101.net/boft/ Our next session, Financing the Plan, is planned for February 24 from 6:30-8:30 PM. More details to come.
Be well,
BPS101
