What the Annual Statement of Affairs (ASA) Is

The Annual Statement of Affairs (ASA) is a legally required financial transparency report that Illinois school districts must publish each year by December 1 under 105 ILCS 5/10-17.

It provides the public with a snapshot of the district’s financial activity from the prior fiscal year, including:

  • Salaries for administrators, teachers, and non-certified staff (summary level)
  • Payments to vendors
  • Contracts over $25,000
  • A summary of district enrollment and staffing
