Summer 2026 Construction Updates
This summer, several BPS101 schools are undergoing construction and improvement projects to support safer, more welcoming, and more functional learning environments for students, staff, and families. This page will be updated throughout the summer with photos showing the progress underway.
HC Storm Elementary School
Project Focus: Site Work, Playground Relocation, and Traffic Flow Improvements
Work at HC Storm is focused on the school grounds. The playground is being relocated to the field behind the school, and the drop-off and pick-up areas are being updated to improve safety and traffic flow. These changes will help separate car riders and bus riders into different areas around the building.

Louise White Elementary School
Project Focus: Secure Entry, Office Renovation, and Kindergarten Expansion
Louise White Elementary is receiving the most extensive updates this summer. Work includes a new secure vestibule, updated reception and front office area, new front entry windows and doors, and an additional kindergarten classroom to support full-day kindergarten in the fall. Some floor cuts are part of the work needed to add bathrooms and prepare the new classroom spaces.

Alice Gustafson Elementary School
Project Focus: Flooring Replacement
Alice Gustafson Elementary is receiving new flooring throughout the building this summer. This work will refresh learning spaces and common areas for students and staff.

JB Nelson Elementary School
Project Focus: Flooring Replacement
J.B. Nelson Elementary is also receiving new flooring throughout the building. The project will update classrooms, hallways, and shared spaces across the school.
