The following is a list of pending or proposed updates to Board policy, including new policies and amendments.

6:150 Home and Hospital Instruction	To update cross‑references and reflect Public Act 102‑466 (ESS Law, effective July 1, 2025), expanding home instruction eligibility to include pregnancy‑related, parenting, or safety needs.
6:235 Access to Electronic Networks	To address the use of artificial intelligence‑enabled tools in schools by adding a new optional "Use of AI‑Enabled Tools" subheading and updating the footnotes, in response to the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on children’s social media safety.
7:040 Non-Public School Students, Including Parochial and Home-Schooled Students	To update the policy following the results of a five‑year review.
7:190 Student Behavior	To improve clarity regarding sexting provisions.
7:200 Suspension Procedures	To align the policy with Public Act 102‑466 (ESS Law, effective July 1, 2025), ensuring students may present mitigating factors at suspension review or expulsion hearings.
7:200-AP2 Suspension Appeal Procedure	To revise the appeal procedure for suspension decisions.
7:210 Expulsion Procedures	To update the policy consistent with the changes made in §7:200 Suspension Procedures.
7:250 Student Support Services	To update policy, legal references, and footnotes in response to Public Act 102‑466 (ESS Law, effective July 1, 2025), requiring annual notification of counseling availability and designation of a building‑level resource person for affected students.
7:255 Students Who are Parents, Expectant Parents, or Victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence	NEW. To create a new policy in response to Public Act 102‑466 (ESS Law, effective July 1, 2025), ensuring support services are in place for Article 26A students to help them meet academic standards and graduate.
7:255-AP1 Supporting Students Who are Parents, Expectant Parents, or Victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence	NEW. To establish a new procedure under Policy 7:255, detailing how support services for Article 26A students will be implemented.
7:255-AP2 Complaint Resolution Procedure for Students Who are Parents, Expectant Parents, or Victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence	NEW. To establish a new procedural mechanism for resolving complaints under Policy 7:255.
