BATAVIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
AGREEMENT HOLDING EXPULSION IN ABEYANCE
The Board of Education of Batavia School District #101 has agreed to hold the expulsion proceedings for
_________________________ in abeyance from _________________ thru ____________________
contingent upon the student abiding by the following conditions:
1. As a condition of holding the expulsion in abeyance, the student and his/her guardian/parents agree to the following:
- The student shall attend the Regional Office of Education’s Safe School Program from _____________ at no expense to Batavia Public School District #101.
- The student shall comply with all requirements of the Safe Schools Program and its staff and shall remain in good standing with the program, including but not limited to, factors such as attendance, grades, community service and behavior.
- The student shall forego participation in or attendance at any Batavia Public School’s activity or event, including any athletic or extra-curricular activity or event.
- The student shall remain off school premises from ______________________ except to keep an appointment scheduled with a school official. Any such appointment must be pre-approved by the office of the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.
- The student and his/her parents waive any claim that they are entitled to receive education services other than those provided from
- Should the student and/or parent attempt to re-enroll the student before in Batavia School District # 101, the expulsion process will be reinstated and the student will be subject to expulsion.
- Should the student transfer to another school district before __________________, the Student Transfer Form will indicate that an expulsion is pending.
2) The student and parents agree that failure to abide by these conditions will result in the school district activating expulsion proceedings. Prior to any any activation of the expulsion, the student and his/her parents will be notified in writing of the reason for activation and provided with an opportunity to respond.
3) If the student abides by these conditions from __________________________, no expulsion will be shown on the student’s records and any credits earned will be transferred to Batavia School District #101.
4) In the event that the student must wait for enrollment in the Safe Schools Program, he/she will be provided educational services in the intervening days in the following manner: NOT APPLICABLE
