Information regarding the proposed amendment is available for review at the Community and Economic Development Department in the City of Batavia Municipal Building during normal business hours. You may also contact the Community and Economic Development Department at 630-454-2700.

Project Objectives

The stadium improvements will include:

  • Replacing the bleachers to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); and
  • Increasing bleacher capacity from approximately 1,200 to 1,500 spectators with the ability to support future expansion.
  • Upgrading lighting poles and fixtures for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Impacts on Neighbors

Apart from some construction traffic, the impact of the proposed improvements on neighbors to the school property are expected to be minimal.  In particular:

  • Light poles will be shortened from 78 feet to 70 feet.
  • New LED fixtures will reduce lighting glare and spill at the edge of the school property from current levels.
  • The bleachers and press box will remain close to their current heights.

More information on the project will be posted here when it becomes available.
