New Students
New residents/ new students to Batavia Public Schools must visit their new school to enroll before registering online. Once proof of residency is established, the school will provide a username and password to complete registration online.
To determine which school your child(ren) will attend, visit www.bps101.net/school-boundaries. For school contact information, visit www.bps101.net/schools.
The following documentation is required to enroll:
- New Student Enrollment Certification (download and print)
- Original birth certificate (photocopies cannot be accepted)
- Any legal custody documents that pertain to the student, if applicable
- Current IEP, 504 Plan, or any other Special Education records, if applicable
- Illinois Student Transfer Form if the student is transferring from an Illinois public school (contact the previous school to obtain this form)
- This form if a non-parent is seeking to enroll a student
- Category I and II (below) fulfilled
Category I (one document):
- Most recent property tax bill and proof of payment, e.g., canceled check or Form 1098 (homeowners)
- Mortgage papers (homeowners)
- Signed and dated lease and proof of last month's payment, e.g., canceled check or receipts (renters)
- Letter from manager and proof of last month's payment, e.g., canceled check or receipt (trailer park residents)
- Official mail received from a State, County, City, or Village or a Federal Government Agency (must include first and last name of applicant and complete current address)
- Letter of residence from landlord in lieu of lease (download)
- Letter of residence to be used when the person seeking to enroll a student is living with a District resident (download )
Category II (two documents showing proper address are required):
- Driver's license
- Vehicle registration
- Voter registration
- Most recent cable television and/or credit card bill
- Current public aid card
- Current homeowners/renters insurance policy and premium payment receipt
- Most recent gas, electric, and/or water bill
Examples of unacceptable documents include: bond receipt or bond card, business card, check cashing card, club/fraternal membership card, college or university ID card, commercially produced (non-state or unofficial) ID card, fishing license, HFS (Healthcare and Family Services) card, handwritten ID/employment card, hunting license, instruction permit/receipt, insurance and/or bail bond card, library card, personal mail, telephone bills, temporary driver's license, traffic citation (arrest ticket), video club membership card, wallet ID, unlicensed financial institution loan papers
Age Requirements: Kindergarten students will be admitted who are five years old on or before September 1st. First grade students will be admitted who are six years old by September 1st.
Residency documents must be dated within 60 days of enrollment. The directions above are in accordance with Batavia School Board Policy 7:60.
Returning Students
Returning students registering for the next school year may do so by logging into PowerSchool. If you have not yet received your PowerSchool username and password, please email help@bps101.net.

Notice
The Selective Service System requires all young men to register within 30 days before or after their 18th birthday. You may register online at www.sss.gov.
By federal law, military recruiters and institutions of higher education are entitled to a list of names, addresses, and telephone numbers of high school students unless you object to such release.
