Community Resources for Food
Dear BPS101 Community-
BPS101 prides itself on being a District where families care about one another, support each other, and look for ways to help resource one another. As we adapt to evolving circumstances, we want to ensure all families are educated about the fantastic resources in our community. You may find yourself in need of help or wanting to assist. Wherever you may fall, you belong here, and we are grateful you are part of BPS101. Below is a list of resources in our community that are helpful and ready to assist.
BPS101 Free/Reduced Meal Program
If your student qualifies for free/reduced meals, that benefit continues all year. Students can also receive breakfast—only about 10% currently do, so please encourage them to take advantage of it!

Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet
Serving Batavia and Batavia Township residents at 916 First Street, Batavia. Home delivery is available.
Shepherd’s Heart Pantry & Community Dinners (Chapelstreet Church, Geneva)
Open to all Tri-City residents; food assistance available twice monthly. Dinners are also offered on Mondays and Thursdays.
Salvation Army Food Pantry (St. Charles)
Open to all Tri-City residents once per month, weekdays 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
My Pantry Express (Northern Illinois Food Bank)
An online food pantry offering free pickup or delivery.
Healing Hunger: Weekend Backpack Meal Program
Fox Valley Christian Church provides weekend food packs for BPS101 families currently on the Free/Reduced program.
- Sign up to receive a weekly backpack (spots may be limited)
- Donation drop-offs: Fox Valley Christian Church, 40W150 Main St., Batavia
- Tuesdays 1–4 p.m. | Thursdays 9:30–11 a.m. | Sundays 8:30–12 p.m.
- Accepted items: oatmeal, cereal bars, soup, canned tuna/chicken/pasta/stew/chili, spaghetti & sauce, canned vegetables, fruit, and applesauce.
- A donation box will also be at the Rosalie Jones Administration Center, Nov. 3–20.
Thanksgiving Blessing Baskets (Holzl Homes + Chip-In Batavia)
100 baskets (turkey & sides) will be provided to BPS101 families on the Free/Reduced program.
- Sign up to receive a basket (limited to the first 100 families; others will be referred to the Batavia Food Pantry)
