2:180 AP High School Student Ambassadors
There shall be at least two Student Ambassadors to the BPS101 Board of Education. The ambassadors will be appointed for a two-year term. One new ambassador will be named annually.
The Principal of Batavia High School will solicit nominations from the faculty for the position of the student ambassador annually in the fall. Nominated students will be invited to apply and/or interview for the position. The Board representatives will interview candidates and present their recommendation to the full Board.
The responsibilities of the ambassador are
- Attend all regular Board of Education meetings
- Serve on the Principal’s Advisory Committee
- Present reports to the Board, in person or in writing, as requested
- Facilitate student focus groups and review student feedback as directed by the Principal, Superintendent or Designee
