Parents and Staff,
Mark your calendars now for International Walk To School Week (WTSW), October 1-5, 2012 AND JBN PTO's first Walk-A-Thon fundraiser, "Jaguars Walk-N-Roll" on Thursday, October 4th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
The Walk A Thon (WAT) will be the first family event fundraiser for the school year. The goal of the WAT is to raise $8400 to provide educational enrichment at JBN such as field trips, assemblies, LRC books, to name a few. The purpose of the WAT is to engage families and staff in a community sponsored FUNdraiser. In addition to the WAT walking path, there will be many Batavia and local business tents, food vendors, and entertainment.
The International Walk To School Week is a week long event, Monday through Friday, sponsored by the JBN PTO and Kane County Fit For Kids. ALL JBN students are encouraged to walk or bike to and/or from school. Pick one, two or all five days to walk or bike to and/or from school with parents and friends!
More information to follow at School Supply Pickup/Drop Off, Curriculum Nights, JBN PTO website, and in your child's take home folder.
We look forward to "Walk-N-Rolling" with the Jaguars On October 4th!
