LWS Trees

Dear Louise White Families,
I am sorry to report that the trees along the main drive up to the school are all infected with the Emerald Ash Borer. We discovered this last year and have been monitoring the situation to leave trees in place as long as possible. Kramer Tree Service on a recent inspection reported the trees to be loaded with the borer.  Kramer’s opinion is most of the trees will not come back this spring and will continue to have a significant amount of dieback through the summer. As the trees die and the borer does more damage to the trees, we turn our attention to maintaining safe grounds. During Spring Break, Kramer Tree Service will cut down the trees and grind the stumps. At this time I can make no promises as to when we will be able to plant something in their place. We will explore replacement opportunities and funding sources as they come up.
