No school tomorrow Friday, February 26th due to Teacher Institute Day.

District Math Contest Winners – Congratulations to Xander Heine, Keaton Keller and Melissa Slome for coming in first place at the district math competition held last week!

LWS Authors – Joyce Elliott, Louise White resource teacher, and Cindy Rodriguez former Louise White paraprofessional and current HC Storm paraprofessional have just had their first book published.  The title of the book is I was born on 9/11.   Mrs. Rodriguez is the author and received the inspiration for her book from Louise White kindergarten students.  Mrs. Elliott illustrated the story and captured the words and the feeling of the story perfectly through her art.  They are a talented team! Congratulations to both of them on this wonderful accomplishment!

PTO has been very busy preparing for the Louise White Fun Fair.  Please join us tomorrow night February 26th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  There will be games, raffles, and excellent prizes.  What a fun way to spend time with friends and support our school!

ISATtesting will take place March 1st through March 5th for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  Please help your child be alert and ready for school by making sure they get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.   Please also avoid scheduling appointments during the school day.  Once testing has begun, children are not able to leave the classroom until the testing session is done.

Enjoy the long weekend and I hope to see many of you at the Fun Fair tomorrow night!
