Snow Pants Season. We are excited to finally have snow. Students with snow pants will be able to sled or play in the field during recess.
Congratulations to all of our candidates for student council president and secretary. The speeches were thoughtful and inspiring. Our President is Davis Ward and our Secretary is Sammi Hasemann. Congratulations to the newly elected executive board. Our class representative candidates will give speeches in class in the next week or so. Our first student council meeting is scheduled for January 31st.
Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heartwill be held in the Hoover-Wood Gym during the weeks of January 19-January 24. We are still looking for volunteers to help out with this important event. Volunteer times went home last week or you can contact Mr. Fink. Also, if your child is interested in contributing to the Jump Rope program, please send in your donation forms to school or you can donate online. This year, the American Heart Association is teaming up with CoCo Key Resort and offering prizes for any amount donated.
5th Annual Used Clothing and Toy ReSale Go to www.myconsignmentmanager.com/hwspto to register as a seller. Volunteers are needed now and for the days of the sale. Whether you are able to help a little or a lot there is plenty to do and we can use your help! Please contact Chris Ignoffo at cignoffo@aol.com for volunteering opportunities. If you would like to donate any gently used clothes or toys to the sale, 100% of the profits will benefit our school. Donations can be dropped off at the school. February 17th Half Day. Friday, February 17th is a half-day for student attendance. Parent conferences are scheduled on the afternoon of this day.
High School: Start 7:35am End 10:36am
Middle School: Start 8:00am End 11:06am
Elementary: Start: 9:00am End 12:00pm(noon) During this half-day, only pm kindergartners will attend. Special programming (WHEEL and bilingual) will not be in session on this day.
