Thanks for a great start to the school year. We couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thanks to the PTO for the ice cream social and first day coffee. Both were a big hit. Thanks to the teachers for their many hours of preparation to get ready for students. Thanks to parents for making appointments for doctors and dentists, getting school supplies and preparing students for their day. Thanks to our support staff for their energy and creativity to make sure everything is running smoothly. Thanks to students for coming to school excited to learn, grow and succeed.
Biking. If your student rides their bike to school, please review the rules of the road with them. We have a lot of bikers and that is a good thing. If your child doesn’t like the crowd around the back bike racks they can simply walk their bike to the front of the school where there are many more (usually empty) bike racks.
Traffic. Please observe traffic signs and follow thePick and Drop off proceduresto ensure the safety of all.
Curriculum night. Thursday September 2nd 6-8pm at Hoover – Wood. We will have two sessions. K-2nd grades will be at 6pm and 3rd-5th grades will be at 7pm. We will open our doors to conference sign up at 5:45 in the gym. See flier for more details.
8/31 Picture Day. Every student will get their picture taken for the yearbook and library cards. Smile.
