Classroom assignment. Classroom assignments will be mailed August 13th.The assignment of your child to a classroom is a result of collaboration between classroom teachers (last year and this year), specialists, specials teachers, and parent input. Some of the many factors considered when placing students are academic levels, personalities, strengths, learning styles, and services. The ultimate goal is to set up a classroom with several different reading levels so a student has room to move and grow within the classroom and always has a cluster of reading level peers to receive small group reading instruction from the classroom teacher.
Paid Registration. You can pay your registration online or in the office. We must have your paid registration or fee waiver application before we will send the teacher letter informing you of your classroom assignment.
Fee Waiver. Fee waiver forms are available in the office today or online after tomorrow.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application. Available in the office or online as of July 28th.
Kindergarten. We will have two kindergarten extended day sections with Mrs. Hillquist and Mrs. Hoffman, two half day kindergarten sections taught by Mrs. Torgerson (formerly of Alice Gustafson School), two bilingual kindergarten classes taught by Mrs. Justiniano, and the WHEEL program will be taught by Mrs. Meiland.
Welcome. Mrs. Torgerson is new to our kindergarten team. She has taught kindergarten and second grade in Batavia. Mrs. Conant is our new challenge teacher and district challenge coordinator. She has experience as a 5thgrade teacher and a challenge teacher in Ohio. Miss Dauber is our new school psychologist. We will share her with Grace McWayne. We have three new paraprofessionals as well. They are Mrs. Rea(3rdgrade), Mrs. Ott and Mrs. Micatka both in kindergarten.
A look ahead…
- Friday, August 13th class assignments mailed.
- Monday, August 23rd supply drop off 5-5:45 and ice cream social 5:45-7PM.
- Wednesday, August 25 first day of school.
- Wednesday, August 25 PTO coffee 9AM in cafeteria and 3PM in cafeteria.
