The School District is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Board Member Jayne Resek. The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment until the April 9, 2013 election. The School District’s mission is “Always learning. Applicants for the Board vacancy must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the State of Illinois and the school district for at least one year preceding board appointment, and a registered voter. Applicants should show familiarity with the Board’s policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a Board and a Board member, including fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics and gift ban.
