Batavia Public Schools is looking for a part Technology Support Specialist Level I. This individual will provide level one technical support to our customers. They will troubleshoot hardware and software issues as well as assist computer users to use available technological tools.
A Level One Support Technician functions as a member of the Tech Team with a primary focus on Level 1 Support Operations. The ability to move between District buildings, as needed, will be required. This position also requires the ability to quickly solve problems and maintain effective collaboration and communication with Technology Team members as well as with staff from other departments.
Interested candidates should be familiar with the Windows desktop environment and have experience using an automated help desk system. They must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.

Overall Objective and Summary
The Network Analyst provides support for and maintenance of District information systems and databases. He/she performs a variety of technical and analytical services for District Divisions and Departments.
The Network Analyst functions as a member of the Tech Team with a primary focus on Level 3 Support Operations. This position requires the ability to quickly solve extremely complex problems and effective collaboration with other Network Operations Center (NOC) staff.
Critical Job Functions
Analyze, implement and maintain District information systems.
Work closely with District personnel to identify needs, recommend, implement and maintain various software and hardware systems.
Monitor daily systems performance and execute corrective measures.
Assist other technical staff in resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
Research, develop and manage projects for new technologies and upgrades to network equipment.
Manage multiple and concurrent objective, projects, groups and/ or activities.

Minimum 2 years experience with in information technology support
Knowledge and experience with multiple operating systems
Experience in educational setting preferred
Must hold high school diploma, a valid drivers license with good driving record, and have working knowledge of building maintenance equipment
Responsible for grounds work.
Must hold an Illinois drivers license with a good driving record; a high school diploma; have a working knowledge of lawn/snow blowing equipment; able to withstand the elements.
Must hold an Illinois State certification or the Illnois State Paraprofessional Letter of Approval
Batavia Schools is looking for substitute lunchroom aides to backfill for employee absences in this position.
We prefer people who are willing/able to work at all buildings, not just one school, but will take that into consideration.
