Telephone User Guide
Place a Call | Answer a Call |
---|---|
Pick up the handset, press the Speaker button or press the NewCall softkey. Dial the phone number using the keypad. For internal calls, only the last 4 digits are required. For outbound calls, simply dial the full telephone number, e.g., 1 (630) 555-5656. | Pick up the handset, press the Answer softkey or press the Speaker button while the phone is ringing. |

To activate: Press CFwdALL, then press the Messages button. The Forward Icon is displayed. To cancel: Press CFwdALL. The Forward Icon will disappear. | Press the Speaker button to toggle between hands-free conversation when answering, placing, during or ending a call. |
Volume Control | Mute a Call |
*Ringer – Use the Volume button to adjust the ringer volume up/ down while your phone is idle. *Handset – Use the Volume button to adjust the earpiece volume up/ down while on an active call. Press the Save softkey to save the adjustment. *Speaker – Use the Volume button to adjust the speaker volume up/ down while on an active call. Press the Save softkey to save the adjustment |
On an active call with the handset or speaker, press the Mute button to mute the microphone. The Mute button will illuminate red when active. To cancel, press the Mute button. |

Voicemail Guide
Setup Voicemail (First Use Only) | Accessing Voicemail |

1. From your assigned phone, press the Messages button; or from any District phone, dial 8999; or from outside the District, dial (630) 937-8999. 2. If prompted, enter your Cisco Unity ID (your extension) followed by # on the keypad. 3. When prompted for your recorded name, state your first and last name, and then press # on the keypad. 4. When prompted, record your personal greeting and then press # on the keypad. 5. When prompted, enter your new 6 digit PIN and press # on the keypad. |
