BPS Team Member Roles

  • Special Education Teacher: teacher is specially trained to provide instruction and educational supports to children with disabilities
  • Speech Language Pathologist: works with children with identified speech-language delays and/or disorders click to link to brochure
  • Occupational Therapist: supports students in the educational environment who have fine motor and/or sensory impairments
  • Physical Therapist: supports students in the educational environment who have gross motor impairments
  • School Psychologist: Is a member of the educational team by providing evaluation, intervention, prevention, and consultation services
  • Social Worker: work with students, families, teachers, and staff to ensure that students reach their academic potential and assist students in dealing with stress or emotional problems in the educational environment
  • General EducationTeacher: instructs and supports the student with disabilities in the general education classroom
  • Nurse: provides medical support to students who have medical conditions that impact their education
