· Discussion of when and how PTO Boards Elections are done at the various Elementary Schools. Getting people to step up to fill the positions.
· Discussion regarding the GPA weighting of Honors and AP classes at BHS. Administration is reviewing. Presentation will be made by Dr. Hitchens at the 1/25/10 School Board Meeting.

FunFair on 2/26/2010. General Meeting held during Fun Fair. Elections for 2010-2011 will be held.
LWS

Will have “un-fundraiser” again 2010-11. Information will be included in registration packets.
RMS
· Pac Meetings have started. 2nd Tuesday at 4:00 in the LMC.
· Construction complete on new gym and replacement of floor in the “tile” gym
· Music department participating in Solo/Ensemble Contest on 2/06/2010
Sports Boosters Club
· Spring Dinner Dance planning is in full swing. Dinner Dance is 4/15/2010.
· Sports Boosters are now accepting applications for 2009-2010 Scholarships. Ten $1000 scholarships will be rewarded this year.

Kane County Resource Fair on February 2 at Geneva Middle School South, 7-8:30
Music Buffs
1st Annual Night of Jazz will be held on Friday, March. Music will be performed by BHS & RMS Jazz Bands and Swing Singers. A silent auction and raffle will be held.
Presentations:
The District Levy and your Tax Bill, Kris Monn
An overview of how tax levies are calculated and their effect on property taxes was explained. Kris said he would be happy to meet with anyone having further questions about his somewhat confusing system.
Construction Update, Kris Monn
Elementary schools: All LCD Projectors are installed. Working with Grace McWayne to correct some problems.
RMS: Construction complete except for landscaping which will take place in the spring when weather allows.
High school: Phase II is nearing completion and move-in. Phase III is moving along on schedule. Pre-lim work on the west portion of the main hallway will start once moves are made.
School Board Update – Jack Hinterlong
- BEPR (Batavia Education Program Review) reports will be presented at the next School Board Meeting. Intending to be used as a baseline for evaluating programs.
- The Board is looking at BHS Honors/AP Program as a whole as well as weighting grades.
District Update – Dr. Jack Barshinger
- Presented by Kris Monn. Possibility of changing 2010-2011 start date from 8/25/2010 to 8/18/2010.
