Engaging families and the community as vital partners in the education process is one of BPS101’s important Strategic Goals. To be successful partners in achievement, two-way communication is imperative. At BPS101, we actively utilize social media and send out monthly email newsletters to keep you informed about important topics and events across the District. We welcome feedback and invite you to attend public Board Meetings to also help you stay informed.

Social Media

The District and schools have official Twitter and/or Facebook accounts to help you connect in the moment about school news and events. We encourage you to follow the BPS social media channels listed below and review our Social Media Commenting Guidelines.

Backpack Mail

Backpack Mail is a paperless means of distributing flyers your student would normally bring home in their backpacks. Parents of kindergarten through high school students will automatically receive Backpack Mail via a link in The Weekly digest and a link in school newsletters. (Click on the “Backpack Mail” link.)

District E-News

Each week during the school year, BPS101 sends out The District Weekly, typically on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM, which is an electronic newsletter designed to brief you on BPS101 events, news, and student/staff/alumni achievements. Each newsletter also includes a link to Backpack Mail. For community members who don’t have students in the District but would like to receive District E-News, sign up at BPS101.net. (Scroll down to the bottom right of the page to see the “Newsletter Sign Up” field.)

YouTube

BATV

BATV (Batavia Access Television) rebroadcasts many school, BFAC, and District produced programs, events, and announcements.

Do you have a school-, student-, or faculty-related story or celebration that interests the BPS101 community? Please help us share it by completing a Story Submission Form. We’d love to hear from you!

School Fact Sheets

Early each calendar year, the Batavia Public School District compiles Fact Sheets for each of the eight schools. These sheets display general school, academic, and support-related data. The information is a compilation of data that is recorded at the school, and also some information that can be found on the Illinois Report Card’s website. Found the most recent school fact sheets here.

District News Stories

For up-to-date district news, watch our news feed here. You can also select individual schools to see only their news feeds from that feed.
